Leaving the Airport

By car or taxi

Lisbon airport is 20 minutes by car or taxi via the motorway (A5), to the door of the Estoril Conference Centre (ECC).

This is the fastest way to reach Estoril. They are lined up outside Lisbon Airport terminals, and with luggage, it should cost you between 35 and 45 Euros. Be sure to ask for a receipt.

 

By Bus & Train

Leaving the Lisbon Airport you may want to take the Bus & Train combo to reach Estoril Conference Centre.

  1. Bus Lisbon Airport – Cais do Sodré
    The Aerobus is a good way to travel. This service provides regular daily links between the main points of the city like the Cais do Sodré rail terminal.

    Line 1 - City Center
    Airport - Cais do Sodré: 07:00am–11:20pm
    Cais do Sodré - Airport: 07:45am–11:00pm (working days); 07:30am–10:40pm (Weekends and Public Holidays)
    Daily departures every 20 minutes.
    Direct connection to both airport terminals (Terminal 1 & 2)

  2. Train Cais do Sodré – Estoril

    First step: Take the train that departures to Cascais and then leave at Estoril Stop.

 

By Metro & Train

Leaving the Lisbon Airport you may want to take the Metro & Train combo to reach Estoril Conference Centre.

    Plan your trip: Take the Red Line from Aeroporto (Airport) Stop to Alameda Stop and than take the Green Line from Alameda Stop to Cais do Sodré Stop

  2. Train Cais do Sodré – Estoril
    Lisbon Suburban Train Line Cascais
    Take the train departing to Cascais and then leave at Estoril Stop.

 

Notes

  • Sit on the left side of the train for the best views.
  • There are frequent trains (every 15-30 minutes) from early morning (06:30 until around 01:00 am).
  • Tickets are purchased from either the ticket office, or the green machines (which accept coins, notes and credit cards).
  • A single ticket costs around €2.75.
  • Tickets must be validated at the yellow machines or turnstyles before boarding the train.
  • Departure boards are easy to follow, with time of departure and platform clearly displayed. You should take the train that says Cascais.
  • Estoril is two stops before Cascais (which is the terminus).

 

From Porto Airport

If you are coming to Portugal and if your flight connections have Porto as a reference you can also consider arriving to Porto Airport. Porto is the second largest city in Portugal (around 300km from Lisbon). From the airport you can take the Metro to Campanhã Stop and then fast train to Lisbon.
